The Ninth Annual Saline Scarecrow Contest celebrates and acknowledges all the hard work, creativity and talent that went into the scarecrows that livened up the sidewalks around Saline during the month of October. Awards were delivered in two different categories. One category was by popular vote. The second category was delivered by a special panel of artists.
The theme for the 2020 contest was "Fairy Tales".
The following awards were selected by the panel of art teachers and artists:
"Best of Show" to "Tin Man & Tiny Tin" created by EHM Senior Solutions.
"Best Artistic Presentation" to "Hansel & Gretel" created by The Boyless Family.
"Best Interpretation of Theme" to "Pinocchio" created by Saline Optometry.
The Peoples Choice awards based on voting were as follows:
First Place Individual - "Hansel & Gretel" by The Boyless Family.
Second Place Individual - "Swedish Tomte" by The Peavler Family.
First Place Group - "Robot Beast" by Saline Singularity.
Second Place Group - "Little Miss Red Riding Hood" by Miss Saline 2020.
Third Place Group - "Ogre" by Saline Area Senior Center.
First Place Small Business - "Rumplestiltskin" by Millio & Associates.
Second Place Small Business - "Cinderella" by Nu2u Again
Third Place Small Business - "Pinocchio" by Saline Optometry.
First Place Large Business - "Tin Man & Tiny Tin" by EHM Senior Solutions.
Second Place Large Business - "Ogre Achiever" by CP Federal Credit Union.
