The polls are closed and the final votes have been counted and we have our three top finishers in the Second Annual Saline Scarecrow Contest.
9 entries vied for bragging rights for top scarecrow creator, more than doubling the four entries during year one.
So... drum roll.... the winners are....
... in third place was "Taybor Pepper" created by Sloan Pepper. Many Saline football fans will remember Taybor's playing days for the Saline Hornets.

Scarecrows could be entered as an individual or by a group, organization or business.
We would like to thank all responsible for the 9 entries that have made downtown Saline so festive this fall.
We would also like to thank everyone that voted for their favorite scarecrow.
And we certainly want to acknowledge all of the sponsors who made entering and voting a rewarding experience. Everyone that entered the contest as well as voted in the contest received a special treat from one or more of our generous sponsors. Dairy Queen donated free ice cream cones. Benny's Bakery donated your choice of a cookie, or a donut. And Busch's donated a free candy bar and rotissery chicken from their deli. Yum!
